OUR PASTOR & FIRST LADY
Pastor Charles & Lorie Dotson are from McMinnville, TN. Pastor Charles has been Senior Pastor of East Sparta Church of God since 2015. They have 2 children: Chandler & Lakan, a son-in-law Pastor Kevin York, and two granddaughters Reese and Reagann York.

DIRECTOR OF LITTLE BLESSINGS (M.D.O)
Beth Roberts is the Secretary/Clerk for East Sparta Church of God. She is an administrative assistant to Pastor Dotson playing a major role in the ongoing operations of the church.
Beth Roberts also serves the students of our church with a passion and zeal. Her heart is to engage with students in a variety of environments through multiple disciplines and mediums. She has served in student ministry for a combined tenure of nearly a decade. Her desire is to see students connect with Christ and develop life-long understanding of who He is.
Finally, Beth serves as the director of our Mother's Day Out program. This temporary childcare option provides a safe and enriching environment to help your children grow while jumpstarting their education.

MINISTER OF MUSIC
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Caleb Shuler is from Hartsville, SC. He completed his undergraduate degree in Vocal Music Education in his hometown of Hartsville at Coker University. He joined our ministry team as Minister of Music in August 2019. He holds a Master of Music degree in Church Music from Lee University. In addition to collegiate experience in choirs & instrumental ensembles, Caleb has directed church and community choirs. Having experienced and participated in a variety of cultural music styles, including Hispanic and African worship, Caleb strives to bring diversity to the music presented at East Sparta. He has always been and continues to be drawn to worship through music.
Caleb and his wife Meredith also serve as our associate pastors. They function to oversee the fulfillment of the church's vision as laid out by the senior pastor, pastor's council, and church leadership team. Their heart for people is evident in everything they do.
YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY DIRECTOR

PRAYER MINISTRY DIRECTOR
Meredith Shuler directs and oversees three different ministries of our church. In her role as the Young Adult Ministry Director, she works diligently to plan activities for those ages 18-40 to foster a relationship first with Christ and then with one another. She believes this age group can easily be overlooked but in reality, serves as the backbone of a well-balanced church. On Sundays, you'll have to search a little harder to find her, as she is typically tucked away in our Media Booth making sure everyone has lyrics and scripture to follow along during service. Most recently she has begun a prayer ministry with the intent of covering our church, congregation, and community in consistent and intentional prayer.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Patsy Roberts is responsible for assisting East Sparta Church of God in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs & curriculum. She also coordinates the Wednesday night adult classes which is comprised of a rotation of teachers. As Coordinator, she selects the study materials and assigns the teachers on a rotation basis.

Betty Turner oversees all aspects of our Ladies Ministry at East Sparta Church of God. This ministry is a vibrant and empowering community of women committed to growing in faith, building lasting relationships, and making a difference in the world. Our ministry is designed to inspire women of all ages to connect, encourage one another, and deepen their relationship with God.

MEN'S MINISTRY
Dakota White is the director of our Men's Ministry. This ministry is a place where men are encouraged to live with purpose, strength, and integrity. Our ministry exists to empower men of all backgrounds and life stages to grow in their faith, build authentic friendships, and take bold steps in following Christ.

Melissa Buck leads our Senior Adult Ministry at East Sparta Church of God for those 50-years old and above.

OUTREACH DIRECTOR
Josh Neal is our Outreach Director. He focuses on spreading the gospel, fostering discipleship, and serving the local community. The goal is to engage people through evangelism, provide support and resources to those in need, and build relationships that reflect Christ's love. The ministry seeks to reach individuals where they are, offering practical assistance, spiritual guidance, and a welcoming environment to help them grow in their faith.

Vickie Brown is our church Hostess at East Sparta Church of God. Her smiling face is one of the first you will see when coming through the doors.

USHERS
Larry Hall leads our Usher Team at East Sparta Church of God. His team is responsible for collecting the offering, assisting in altar ministry, and providing a safe worship experience.
Children's Ministry Director
Haley Tollison shares the love of Christ with our toddlers through her dedication to excellence in service. She strives to share the Gospel on a level that's accessible to our kids while also challenging them to dive into deep topics. Haley is always looking for volunteers who love the Lord and helping kids excel!

CLOTHED BY GRACE CLOTHING MINISTRY
Denise Martin is the Director for the Clothed by Grace Clothing Ministry at East Sparta Church of God. This ministry is where generosity meets practical needs. Our mission is to provide free clothing to individuals and families in our community who are facing difficult circumstances. Whether it's a season of struggle or simply the need for a fresh start, our Clothing Closet offers a place of hope and support.
